The Robes That Took 3 Years to Design
At Himoriwabi, we are well known for our signature Samue.
We didn’t want to release “just another robe.”
Our community asked us for a full-length design years ago, but it took over 3 years of testing, refining, and rethinking before we were satisfied.
Here’s why:
Perfecting the drape & flow — too heavy and it drags, too light and it loses elegance. We tested until it moved like poetry.
Balancing coverage & breathability — more fabric means more warmth, yet it had to stay feather-light and wearable across all seasons.
Refining the silhouette — dozens of prototypes, each adjusted by millimeters, to achieve effortless elegance without restricting movement.
Ensuring durability — longer robes face more stress. Ours was engineered to be 6x more durable than cotton, holding its shape and softness even after years of use.

Most bamboo fabrics are mass-produced — chemically treated, loosely spun, and softened with synthetic washes. They look smooth at first, but lose their luster quickly. And they lack the deep, lasting softness your skin remembers.

We start with premium-grade bamboo pulp — harvested only from trusted growers who prioritize purity and fiber integrity. Each batch is tightly quality-controlled to ensure consistency in softness, stretch, and strength.
Then comes the real magic:
A slow, multi-stage refinement process that preserves the natural softness of the bamboo while enhancing breathability and durability. It’s this attention to detail — how we align, stretch, and set the fibers — that gives Eversoft Bamboo its signature feel.

High-Quality Bamboo Viscose Source
Eversoft uses Grade A bamboo (typically moso bamboo) grown in carefully selected regions. It’s richer in natural cellulose and silica, which gives the resulting fibers stronger structure and smoother texture.
Closed-Loop Processing
Eversoft Bamboo is made through a closed-loop viscose process, which means:
✓ The bamboo is broken down using gentler solvents.
✓ These solvents are captured and reused, reducing chemical harshness and environmental impact.
✓ The result: smoother, more uniform fibers with fewer impurities and irritants.
This is a big part of what makes Eversoft hypoallergenic and calming to the skin.
Micro-Sanded Finish for Silken Softness
After weaving, the fabric undergoes a micro-sanding or “peaching” process—a gentle abrasion that lifts the surface fibers slightly. This gives it that velvety, skin-soothing finish without compromising durability or breathability.
It’s this finishing that gives Eversoft its name—you can feel the difference the moment you touch it.
Tight-Knit Weave With Air Channels
Unlike loosely woven bamboo fabrics that stretch and sag over time, Eversoft is made with a tighter weave structure:

The Luné Robe was designed to be extremely adjustable, so that every wearer could find their perfect fit.
In fact, our original plan was to create just one universal size — infinitely adjustable to suit all body types.
But during development, we discovered that to balance all the other aspects of the robe — its drape, silhouette, and comfort — we needed to refine the sizing just a little further.
That’s why we created two highly versatile sizes that cover nearly all body types:
- XS–M → best for those who usually wear sizes XS, S, or M
